Complete Template Set:

Templates include every standard Universal Hovercraft propeller and lift fan designed since 1980. Buy this template if you plan to build your own propeller or fan. Propeller templates also work very well for airboats up to 250 horsepower. Template includes laminating, cutting and shaping, finishing and balancing instructions. 

 

How the Templates Work:

*Note: Complete information is included in the Template Set. This is an overview. 

1) Choose the propeller needed for your hovercraft. Propellers are specified in the plan set. If you have made modifications and are not sure, contact us and we will sort it out for you. 

2) Cut out the leading edge template and trailing edge template for your specific type. 

3) Laminate wood in preparation for marking.

4) Use templates to mark cutting lines on the laminated wood. 

5) Carve the propeller using a band saw, Sawzall or hand saw. 

6) Sand carved blades to desired level of finish.

7) Laminate with fiberglass.

8) Balance propeller or fan using simple household materials. 

9) Trim to length & drill mounting holes.

10) Install
